Carol is currently based in China as our Shanghai Correspondent. When Carol was in Liverpool, she workes as a bilingual travel guide in the charity organisation Bradbury Fields, co-ordinating Merseytravel's ToGo project which promotes independent living and social inclusion amongst the visually impaired, especially those from the Black Minority Ethnic (BME) groups. Apart from her work on ToGo project, she also produced, in partnership with other Chinese organisations, the bimonthly Chinese talking newspaper for blind and partially sighted Chinese people all over the country. Originally an anaesthetist and later studied public health, Carol has worked as a freelance interpreter/translator, Mandarin language tutor in St. Helen's Carmel College and health tutor in Hope University. Carol's other involvement with the Chinese community includes working with LCBA as a Life in the UK Citizenship test trainer in 2007.
