Alena is the Tourism Development Executive at The Mersey Partnership and deals primarily with developing thematic tourism activity and examining diversity issues in tourism. Part of her remit involves working with BME and multi-faith groups in the Northwest in social cohesion initiatives. She has a background in event management and is a trustee of Brouhaha International, an arts organisation that holds festival events and community celebrations both locally and abroad.
